Kansai Airport Hotels

Every hotel here states, on its own website, a free shuttle of its own between the hotel and Kansai Airport — 7 of them — or, for Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport and First Cabin Kansai Airport, a place in the Aeroplaza, the building connected to Terminal 1. A hotel whose site describes a bus but never says it is free, or says it has stopped, is left out, and so are hotels near Rinku Town and Izumisano stations with no airport bus of their own: reaching them is a train and a walk, a different trip. Kansai Airport lists the two Aeroplaza hotels on its own page, and their cards quote it. It is a selection, not a ranking.

Not always. Izumisano Center Hotel Kansai International Airport, Star Gate Hotel Kansai Airport, Kansai Airport First Hotel and OMO Kansai Airport by Hoshino Resorts run a free bus from the hotel to the airport only, or have suspended the pickup, so on arrival you make your own way there. Kansai Airport Washington Hotel, Bellevue Garden Hotel Kansai International Airport and Kansai Airport Spa Hotel Garden Palace run both ways. Each card says where the bus picks up, where the hotel gives that in text.

From 10 to 20 minutes as the hotels state it — but the figures are not like for like. Some give the ride from the airport, some the ride to it, some one figure per terminal, and each card says which. Kansai Airport Washington Hotel, Izumisano Center Hotel Kansai International Airport and Star Gate Hotel Kansai Airport give no ride time in text — only in a timetable, or not at all — so no figure is shown.

Terminal 2 is a separate building from Terminal 1. 6 of the 7 shuttle hotels say their bus to the airport calls there — on every run or only on some, and each card says which. Kansai Airport Washington Hotel names no Terminal 2 stop in text, so check with that hotel before an early flight from there. Both Aeroplaza hotels point Terminal 2 passengers to a free bus.

For the run to the airport, mostly yes: Bellevue Garden Hotel Kansai International Airport, Izumisano Center Hotel Kansai International Airport, Kansai Airport Spa Hotel Garden Palace, Star Gate Hotel Kansai Airport, Kansai Airport First Hotel and OMO Kansai Airport by Hoshino Resorts ask you to book, and each card says how and by when. Some buses are for the hotel's own guests only — that is on the card too.

8 of the 9 publish their room sizes, and each card shows the smallest type listed — from 13 m² at Izumisano Center Hotel Kansai International Airport to 23.3 m² at Star Gate Hotel Kansai Airport. A bed width is shown only where the hotel states it. First Cabin Kansai Airport is a cabin hotel, with no room to size.
